UD Vision Mission and Strategic Goals

Mission Statement

Realizing our vision will require us to:

  1. To serve the educational needs of diverse undergraduates, postgraduates and professionals.
  2. To provide education based on national and international standards.
  3. To promote a stimulating and innovative educational environment.
  4. To produce high caliber graduates and prepare future leaders.
  5. To engage faculty in quality basic and applied research. 
  6. To contribute to the environmental, societal and economic sustainable development of the region.

Goal 1  Enhance pedagogy focused towards active learning that is relevant and impactful. 
Goal 2 Enhance basic and applied research addressing economic issues.
Goal 3 Engage in community and industry relationships.
Goal 4 Expand in international collaboration with prominent/accredited universities for ensuring internationalization, diversity and sustainability.
Goal 5 Attract distinguished international faculty and high caliber staff.
Goal 6 Introduce blended education system in academic programs and an online system for CED.
Goal 7 Expand resources to match the planned growth.
Goal 8 Energize the Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation to promote a culture of innovation, creativity and entrepreneurship.
