Prayer Rooms
Men’s and women’s prayer rooms are located on the 1st and 2nd floors in each building on campus. In most cases, evening lectures have a 20 minutes break for prayer, which is a part of the regular class break.
Recreational Facilities
Located on the 1st floor in the Spine Corridor, the student lounge plays an essential role in the daily life of UD students. It is a place where students gather to relax and socialize with friends.
Learning Resources- Library and ITS services
UD’s Library is located on the second floor in the University Center building. The library provides information accessible to faculty, students, staff, alumni and researchers by utilizing the best available library resources both in print and online versions. Collections include online databases, more than 25,000 books and in-house research papers of UD faculty, which are valuable for students, researchers and academics.
Students can access the dedicated learning resources section at the UD library. The library welcomes suggestions for improvements in its service and materials. Users may speak directly to the library staff or may email their written suggestions or recommendations to library-group@ud.ac.ae
Dining Services
The cafeteria provides students with a wide selection of healthy food and beverages at reasonable prices to assure the availability of the appropriate food that benefits students’ bodies and brains. Core Restaurant is located at the first floor and is open from 9AM to 9PM.
Lost and Found
The Department of Student Services (DSS) is the central repository for valuables found by members of the UD community. We keep items safe & secure and also we proactively work to return belongings to their owners.

Lost & found items are forwarded to the DSS for cataloging and will be kept at the Department of Student Services for one (1) year. Items that are not claimed, will be removed from the inventory and will either be discarded or donated to a local charity.
If you find a lost item in the UD facility, please hand the items to the UD Campus Security or to the Security desk on the ground floor.
- All received items are logged and categorized.
- If any of the items found match our inquiry records, DSS we will call or send an email notifying the owner of the lost & found item.
a. The owner should then visit the DSS in person to identify the lost & found lost item.
b. DSS will ask you several questions to ascertain whether the items found belong to the rightful owner.
c. For electronic items found, DSS will ask you to enter relevant passwords, if any, or give more personal details to identify the items.
d. Finally, you will be asked to sign a receiving note stating that you have identified and claimed your lost item.
Transport Services
Bus service to students is outsourced to accommodate the transportation needs of the students. This will depend on a pre-determined minimum number of 10 students requesting this service.
Bookstore
The book store offers a range of materials such as textbooks, literature, magazines, newspapers and stationery.
