Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)

To graduate, the students follow a prescribed sequence of course. This sequence focuses on general Education and supporting business Requirements providing students with a broad-based and well-rounded knowledge through acquiring communication skills, problem-solving and IT skills, as well as an understanding of general business concepts. This solid background enables students to complete the specialization requirements in one of their areas of interest during the third and fourth year of BBA program. This is further supported by electives chosen from a selection of different courses, to broaden students’ knowledge and enhance their specialized skills.

 

BBA Program Objectives and Learning Outcomes

At the end of the BBA program, the student is expected to accomplish the following general and management-specific learning objectives.

 

BBA Program Objectives

  • At the end of the BBA program, students are expected to accomplish the following general core learning outcomes.
  • PLO1 Core: Discuss the basic concepts, theories, and methods of various business functions.
  • PLO2 Core: Apply theories and methods to critically solve business problems in the workplace. 
  • PLO3 Core: Demonstrate ethical behavior and communicate effectively in the workplace.

 

Accounting (ACC) Learning Outcomes

  • PLO1ACC: Demonstrate knowledge of concepts, techniques and theories and Information Technology trends in accounting, auditing, taxation and accounting information systems.
  • PLO2ACC: Discuss the ethical dimensions of accounting, auditing, and sustainability reporting in a modern business environment. 
  • PLO3ACC: Apply established theories to problems and practices in the discipline of accounting and accounting information systems. 
  • PLO4ACC: Analyze the relevant accounting principles and theories and auditing procedures as well as the evolving regulatory framework.
  • PLO5ACC: Evaluate accounting, auditing and financial statement information to facilitate corporate decision making, included in complex business environments. 

 

Finance (FIN)Learning Outcomes

  • PLO1FIN: Demonstrate knowledge of concepts, techniques, and theories in finance. 
  • PLO2FIN: Apply established theories and principles to financial problems and sustainability. 
  • PLO3FIN: Analyze risk and evaluate banking operations, services, and products.

Managing People and Organization (MPO) Learning Outcomes

Logistics and Operations Management (LOM) Learning Outcomes 

  • PLO1LOM: Articulate the basic specialized knowledge of theories, methods, and concepts in the field of operations and Logistics Management.
  • PLO2LOM: Experiment the theories and analytical methods required to solve basic conceptual problems in the field of Logistics and Supply Chain.
  • PLO3LOM: Reflect on the appropriateness and effectiveness of analytic tools, approaches, and techniques in solving different operations and logistics problems.
  • PLO4LOM: Communicate about the sustainable ethical, and responsible way in the field of operations and supply chain management.

 

Customs Administration (CUS) Learning Outcomes

  • PLO1CUS: Articulate the basic specialized knowledge of theories, methods, entrepreneurial competencies, and concepts in the field of customs administration. 
  • PLO2CUS: Implement theories, methods and entrepreneurial competencies acquired to solve day-to-day problems in the field of customs administration. 
  • PLO3CUS: Communicate the ethical and professional standards needed for sustainable customs administration. 
  • PLO4CUS: Evaluate customs administration and operational decisions to implement specialized innovative, technical, analytical, and creative skills which are fundamental to problem solving and decision making in customs administration. 

 

BBA Program Structure

The BBA program is structured such that students follow a prescribed sequence of course. This sequence begins from general Education and supporting business Requirements providing students with a broad-based and well-rounded knowledge through acquiring communication skills, problem-solving and it skills, as well as an understanding of general business concepts. This solid background enables students to complete the specialization requirements in one of their areas of interest during the later semester of the BBA program. This is further supported by electives chosen from a selection of different courses, to broaden students’ knowledge and enhance their specialized skills. In order to graduate, students enrolled in the undergraduate programs must maintain a cumulative GPA of not less than 2.00 and complete 129 credit hours according to their academic plan within the maximum specified timeframe of seven (7) years.
