Staff Discount to Pursue Bachelor and Master Programs at UD
Policy
UD staff are eligible to obtain a fifty percent (50%) discount on tuition to pursue undergraduate and graduate studies at UD. This discount is subject to the following terms:

The employee must have successfully completed his probation period.

The employee must be in a good standing position, i.e. has no disciplinary action taken against him during his tenure at UD.

The employee must satisfy all relevant admission criteria for the program he/she desires to join at UD.

The employee must receive a no-objection letter from his/her line manager.

The studies must not have a major disruptive effect on the employee’s performance at work.

The employee must not be absent from his duties for more than 6 hours per week every semester. He/she can take the rest of the courses during the evening.

The employee must maintain a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 in the Bachelor program and 3.0 out of 4 in the Master Program, throughout the study period. If the CGPA drops below the required threshold, he/she will lose the discount. The discount will resume when the CGPA is raised to or above the minimum required level.

The discount will cease if the employee receives a major disciplinary action.

The employee is required to serve UD for a minimum period of 2 years’ post-graduation, if his/her services are still needed at UD. If the employee desires to resign earlier, then he/she must reimburse the discount received, pro-rata.

If the employee resigns before the completion of the program, he/she will have to pay back UD the total amount of discount received until his resignation date.

If the employee is getting terminated before two years post qualification for to any reason, then he/she will not have to refund the discount received.

The discount applies for a maximum period of 7 years for Bachelor programs, and 3 years for Master programs, excluding periods of approved study interruption.
The discount is not applicable for the PhD program.
