The University of Dubai is committed to integrating ESG factors into its investment decision-making processes. By incorporating ESG considerations, we seek to achieve positive impact and align our investment strategies with our organization's values and sustainability goals.

1. Objectives

  1. Integrate ESG factors into the investment analysis and decision-making process.

  2. Seek investment opportunities that align with sustainability themes and contribute to positive environmental and social outcomes.

  3. Monitor and assess the impact of sustainable investments to ensure accountability.

 

2. Guidelines

  1. Incorporate ESG factors into the investment analysis to assess risks and opportunities associated with the investment. This includes analyzing the environmental impact, social practices, and governance structure of potential investments.

  2. Identify and prioritize sustainable investment themes aligned with the organization's mission and values, such as renewable energy, climate change adaptation, social equality, or sustainable agriculture.

  3. Apply exclusionary screens to avoid investments in companies involved in controversial activities, such as weapons manufacturing, tobacco, or human rights violations.

  4. Regularly report on the organization's sustainable investment activities, performance, and impact.

 

3. Monitoring and Review

Establish a monitoring and review process to assess the performance and impact of sustainable investments

 

4. Education

Educate staff about sustainable investment principles and the importance of ESG integration in decision-making.
