ENRM 500 Research Methods
The course introduces the building blocks, types and impact of engineering research. In addition, the course discusses the differences between quantitative and qualitative research methods and measures. The course focuses on the understanding of the research process starting from formulating the research question and reviewing the literature to analyzing data and producing results. Besides, it emphasizes on improving the students skills in presentation and dissemination of research findings. It also addresses ethical research aspects such as plagiarism and research integrity.
