EEWC 600 Advanced Topics in Wireless Communications
This course starts with an overview of wireless communication and its evolution. The course then discusses the characteristics and statistical models of wave propagation in wireless channels. Single-carrier and multi-carrier modulation techniques for wireless communication are described and analyzed under different radio channel types. Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) antenna systems and diversity combining techniques are also studied. Wireless cellular concepts and network architecture are also described in the course. The course concludes with an overview of emerging and next-generation cellular technologies.
