DS 620 Data Visualization & Data Representation Techniques
This course focuses on reporting and charting to communicate data scientist finding. Coverage includes information visualization basics, design principles, guidelines and patterns, concepts for to evaluate what is a good and bad visualization. The course consists of best practices and guidelines when creating basic figures and charts and how to make insightful decisions, describing statistical charts and tables, identify the suitable method that fits a specific problem. Adding interactive techniques to plots and charts, perform data transformations on the visualized data. This course involves hands-on practices to create the elements of modern dashboards using open source platforms and tools.
