CS 511 Advanced Digital Forensics
This course elaborates on advanced digital forensics techniques through the phases of investigation process, namely, data collection, preservation, analysis/investigation, and reporting. Several forensics principles are discussed such as computer crime, crime scene, evidence, suspect, law, ethics, in addition to advanced approaches for computer crime investigations. Last but not least, students are able to leverage advanced techniques and open-source tools to conduct digital forensic investigations in a safe environment and based on real-life datasets.
