GPHY-L 160 Physics II for Engineering Lab
The laboratory session for GPHY160 is based on classical electricity and magnetism, including such topics as, electric charge and electric fields, Gauss's law, electric potential, capacitance, current, resistance, and circuits, DC circuits, Ampere's law, magnetic fields, and fields due to currents, induction and inductance, magnetism of matter, Maxwell's equations, and electromagnetic oscillations. It will cover basics of Light and optics. The course is taught in a lecture/workshop format that integrates the material traditionally found in separate lecture and laboratory courses.
